About LayerPrint
Who is LayerPrint?
A 3D printing service with its own print farm in Elwood, Indiana. We run Bambu Lab printers, with room for 15 or more, and a person checks every print before it's packed and shipped. See the farm

Ordering
Do I need my own 3D printer or any printing know-how?
No. Pick a model from the catalog, upload your own file or paste a link. We check it, recommend a material with a plain reason, price it and print it.
Which files can I upload?
STL, OBJ and 3MF files. You can also paste a link from MakerWorld, Thingiverse or Printables and we fetch the file for you.
Can I print any model I find online?
Only if its license allows it. Many models are licensed for non-commercial use only. Models in our catalog are ones we have checked; for links and uploads, please check the license first. Terms: your files and models
Do I need an account?
You can get a price without one. To place and track an order you sign in with an email and password, or with Google.
Prices and materials
How is the price worked out?
From the grams of filament your model uses and the hours it spends on a printer, plus one packing fee. The quote shows all three, so you can see where every cent goes. How pricing works
Which material should I choose?
Every quote comes with a recommendation and a reason. Roughly: PLA for decor, PETG for parts that get used, TPU for anything that should bend. You can switch and see the price change.
Can you print in more than one color?
Yes. A print can use up to four colors. Color changes use a little extra filament and printer time, and both are counted in your quote.
When do I pay?
At checkout, through Stripe. We never see your full card number.
Printing and shipping
Can I watch my print?
Yes. Your order page shows which printer has it, its progress and the time left, then packing, shipping and delivery.
What happens if every printer is busy?
Your order waits in a first-in queue, and your order page shows your place in line.
Where do you ship, and what does it cost?
Every order ships from Elwood, Indiana. Checkout shows where we can ship to, the cost and the delivery estimate before you pay. Shipping and returns
Cancelling and problems
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, for a full refund, any time before your print starts. Once it is printing it can't be cancelled.
My print arrived damaged or wrong. What now?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We reprint it for free or refund it in full. Damaged, faulty or wrong prints
What happens to my model files?
They are stored privately and only our staff can open them, to work on your order. We never publish or share them. Privacy: how model files are kept
