Single color or multicolor, a model from the catalog or a file of your own, one part or a box of them: you see the price before you order, and you can follow the print until it ships.

The price is the plastic plus the printer time. That’s it.

Most print services hand you a number. We show where it comes from: the grams of filament your model uses and the hours it spends on the printer, each at a fixed rate, plus packing.

Questions people ask first

Who is LayerPrint?

A 3D printing service with its own print farm in Elwood, Indiana. We run Bambu Lab printers, with room for 15 or more, and a person checks every print before it's boxed and shipped.

What can I get printed?

Pick a model from our catalog, upload your own STL, OBJ or 3MF file, or paste a link from MakerWorld, Thingiverse or Printables. It needs to fit the print bed, and the designer's license has to allow it. Prints can be one color or several.

How is the price worked out?

We slice your model the way a printer would. That tells us how many grams of filament it uses and how long it runs. The price is the filament plus the printer time plus packing, and every quote shows all three lines.

Which printers do you use?

Bambu Lab printers on our own farm in Elwood, Indiana. When you order, your job goes to the next printer that's free. If they're all busy, it waits in the queue and your order page shows your place in line.

Can I watch my print?

Yes. Your order page shows which printer has it, when it started, the current layer and percentage, and the time left. Then it shows packing, shipping and delivery.

I don't know which material to pick.

You don't have to. Every model comes with a recommended material and a plain reason. PLA for decor, PETG for parts that get used, TPU for anything that should bend. You can switch on the quote and see the price change.

Where do you ship, and how fast?

Everything ships from Elwood, Indiana. Checkout shows where we can ship to, the shipping cost and the delivery estimate before you pay, and you get a tracking number when it leaves.
